Excellent product for a Kennel for my Female Jack Russell Terrier and her 5 puppies. We have dangerous coyotes near by and my Jack Russell Terriers are safe from coyotes and wild predators in this Kennel. This medium size Kennel has plenty of room in it for the dog house, food and water and a play area for my female Jack Russell Terrier and her puppies. The puppies would squeeze through the holes in the fencing when they were less than 5 weeks old. A alternative is chicken wire around the bottom of the fencing. I did not install the sunscreen because I thought my adult Jack Russell would chew through it and escape. I installed heavy plyboard on top of the pen, that is wired down, and now the kennel is very stable and secure and their is not a chance for a dog to escape. I installed a tarp over the pen to keep out wind, rain and snow. I would highly recommend this Medium Size Midwest K9 Kennel. I plan to definitely buy another Kennel like this one in the future from [@]

I bought this kennel in hopes to contain my akita while at work...so she could spend the day outside. After set up I was actually initially impressed with it (except the flimsy zip ties to hold on the sun shade) until after the first day my dog had push her way into breaking half the sun shade away...so I got industrial zip ties and at first no prob until day number two when she chewed thru the sun shade and jumped out. This kennel must have been made for dogs 20lbs and lighter only

Comments about Midwest K9 Kennel:
I was able to set this up in about an hour by myself, although, it would have been easier with 2 people. One of the metal rings was missing on the tarp, but since we are using this indoors, it doesn't matter that much. Thats the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. I just think if you buy something brand new, it shouldn't be missing a piece. But this is very sturdy, and for the price, it has been the best solution for me. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

Comments about Midwest K9 Kennel:
It did take two of us, but completed in about 45 min. We got a laugh out of reading that we should have put the top and bottom fence ties on while the frame was upside down. No problem, the metal ties could be fastened with the frame in the up right position.

Comments about Midwest K9 Kennel:
i bought this kennel for my now 1 year old min pin mix with deer head chihauhau an my 3 month american can bulldog mix with labrador. My dogs are fairly big an extremely smart. They both have torn up an escaped thyrough over $500.00 worthn of pets kennels and cages. This one here is definitaley the best. I didnt give it 5 stars because the instruction was a little confusing but once you get the rails up its very easy. here is a tip buy more of the lille black ties, they work better than those metal things. and it fits on my 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment patio.

Q1: What gauge wire is this?
A: The wire gauge on this cage is 11.5.
Q2: Is the kennel metal galvanized?
A: The Midwest K9 Kennel is galvanized.
Q3: Does this item need anchors?
A: The kennel will be fine freestanding, otherwise ground stakes can be used, but they are not included.
Q4: Can I buy two large kennels and connect them together to make a 10 x 12 kennel?
A: Sort of - the tubing for the items will not connect but if you assembled both tubings and set them side by side, you would then wrap the chain link around the entire thing and that would give you the large area you need but they'd technically just be side by side.
Q5: Can you give me assembly instructions?
A: Here are the assembly instructions.
