My Australian Shepherd is brilliant in a stupid kind of way. He is a true escape artist, that really has made an art of it. We bought extra tie downs and tied EVERY SINGLE bottom picket to the bottom bars and still he worked his teeth and claws in there and bent the chain link up into an arch. Just about 6 inches and he was out. He would have actually escaped from our yard if we hadn't had the forethought to tie him into the kennel with a stake in the ground. That didn't really matter to him as he dragged the entire kennel off the raised wooden base that we built as a platform. He injured his claws and gums pretty well in the process. A determined dog will destroy ANYTHING. The kennel itself is a good product, it was easy to put together, and really feels secure for a normal dog. Ours is not.

Comments about Lucky Dog Champion Dog Kennel:
All the pros of this product is shadowed by the assembly. When it came time to stretch-out the fencing, it all went downhill. The fence was severely tangled and coming apart. It took about 6 hours to untangle, restring, and close all the ends. Also, the instructions were for a different kennel than what I ordered.

Comments about Lucky Dog Champion Dog Kennel:
Love the size for a "garage" kennel, but found the linked fencing to be troublesome to connect to frame. The link tends to come apart during set-up and the metal twists are hard to do. Good value once construction was completed.

very timely shipping at a great price only $5 for this to be shipped even though it weighed over 100 lbs. Straight forward assembly, no parts missing.

Q1: What is the gauge of the steel? What are the door dimensions? How much assembly is required?
A: The gauge of the steel is 12 gauge wire and 18 gauge tubing. The door dimensions are 24W x 5H. For assembly you will need a Phillips screwdriver, pliers and approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Q2: Is the bottom of the tubing closed or hollow since I am going to mount this onto a concrete pad?
A: Per a call to our supplier, the bottoms of the tubes are hollow.
