Designed for the smaller dogs in your home, this unique doghouse has steps along one side which lead to a wonderful roof-top balcony. The construction and raised base architecture give you the freedom to keep this house indoors or out.     This is a sweet piece of furniture, i bought it because it looks really nice. The design alone makes your backyard look like you spent a lot of money on it, especially if you have dogs or cats. My chihuahuas rest inside of it when its windy or when my 3 yr old wants to chase them. I cut rug pieces on the stairs because otherwise they wont use it, but since i did that they now use the top to sun bathe. Its great!
    Only issue is that the stairs if you need to move it, will come loose which means it'll tear the side. just drill some extra holes into the side so stairs stay in place.
    Oh, it smells of a minty cedar, but it goes away after a week of being outside.

    I loved this dog house for the looks. Unfortunately my dogs chewed it to pieces. I didn't know they could eat so much wood. Also the steps needed carpet to block the holes so they would walk up to the balcony. I'd recommend it for small dogs that don't chew.

        I was really pleased with the quality of the house. We bought it for a pair of kitty siblings that have taken to living on our porch. There is ample room on the deck for them and they are enjoying sleeping and sitting up there. I thought the fencing would be flimsy, but such was not the case. It is a very nice outdoor shelter for the 2 critters.

          I bought this on sale last week and I'm VERY happy with it! Everyone who sees it is in awe over it! It took about 10 mins to put together, and my daughter glued some letters on front spelling "Bear's Crib"..lol. We also cut a shower curtain to fit inside the door for additional protection. The house was delivered in about 3 days after shipment right to my door!

          I wish I could write a rave review, because when I seen this online I feel in love with it. I thought it would be perfect for my dog (less than 5 pounds)but he hates it. The stairs are too narrow and he doesn't want to go up or down them. I have worked with him on it for several hours but I don't think he will enjoy the deck of the house. I also don't think it will keep him dry if it rains. due to the small gaps in the deck and on the sides. The bottom of the house did not fit very well and my husband had to make some adjustments. My husband also commented that he does not believe it will weather well in thes sun. So right now I am not very happy... but I hope in a week or a few days my dog will want to use the stairs and he can enjoy the dog house with a deck.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          I ordered this doghouse for my two outdoor cats. With a little help from my husband,I was able to put together the house in about an hour. It is absolutely ridiculous that this house is advertised as an outdoor house. There are slats between the wood on the flat roof and the water dripped right on in making the house entirely inhospitable for the kitties. I am extremely disappointed.This would be fun to have as a cute indoor structure for a sunroom.

          A: The floor of the dog house is raised, preventing water from flowing in when heavy rain pools water on the ground.  The door is 9W x 11H inches, and you will need to determine whether that is appropriate for your dog.
