This dog house features solid fir wood construction with a raised floor and slant-roof design to keep the interior dry and your dog comfortable, plus a door and an insulation kit for even more comfortable protection. An off-center entrance provides increased shelter from the elements and allows your pet to turn around inside while easily. Waterproof, plastic feet and an asphalt shingle roof result in a dog house that is built to provide viable shelter, even in extreme weather conditions, whether hot or cold.

A handsome dark and medium wood two-tone finish produces a natural, rustic beauty that will enhance the appearance of your outdoor setting. This dog house is available Small, Medium, and Large sizes. Assembles in three simple steps.

This Extreme Outback Log Cabin is upgraded in that it features shingle material and feet protection. The Extreme has asphalt shingles to protect against extreme weather conditions. The Extreme model includes waterproof plastic caps for the feet to protect against moisture and extend the life of the dog house.

There is nothing good about this dog house and I am not very impressed with this company right now. I have no idea why they call this dog house "Extreme" either!!! When the first one arrived, you could tell that it had been repackaged. When we opened the box the wood was splitting, chipped, and coming appart from the screws. Several screws had popped out and were in the bottom of the box. When the dog door arrived, separately, it was dirty with scratches on it(not brand new). When I called about this, customer service (who were very nice by the way) said they would send another one out right away, or refund my credit card.(I decided that I would give this company another chance but that was a mistake). They also said they would put a note in the computer to make sure the second one that was sent out would be a new house.. Really???? I thought that was what I was ordering in the first place. When I opened the second dog house, the wood was split at one end and chipped. So I will be calling again and sending this one back too. I will let you know how the return process goes.

Looks good, easy to build. Isulation kitt easy to install. The wood it's made with should be a little thicker though.The company was good quick response. The house showed up on time and in good shape.

We bought this doghouse for a Beagle we found on the river bridge and she loves it. We keep it on a covered patio as it is attractive. It is warm and dry and and it smells like the fir it is made of. A good product for the price.

Kent was most helpful and told me of the added products sold by Hayneedle. Delivery was prompt and it arrived in good condition.

There is nothing good about this dog house and I am not very impressed with this company right now. I have no idea why they call this dog house "Extreme" either!!! I have a breeding kennel. My dog houses were very old and so I decided to find replacement dog houses. I really like the design of these dog houses. My border collie rescue decided she did not like the door flaps and pulled them off. The terriers love lying on top of the dog house. The proof will be how these houses withstand rain and winter weather.

They are easy to put together; however, the two that I have assembled have both had some damage to them. I am not sure if it is the craftsmanship or the shipping.

Service and delivery comments:

There has been some damage to the two dog houses I have opened so far....not sure if this is happening when they are assembled or in shipping.
