Oh my gosh, my puppy loooves her new house! She just adores being out in the sun all day long, it's a hassle to get her back in, and I feel much better knowing she has this to rest/hide in. Not to mention how easy it was to set up! I'm a nineteen year old girl and it only took me 30-40 minutes at the most. My dog didn't hesitate at the stairs, I was sort of worried about that, but she went right up them to check out the deck!

I was so excited when the (2) dog houses arrived. I LOVE the design (especially the deck). A paid handyman (cost $50) and I set it up and immediately noticed how light-weight the wood was. Throughout the process we joked about how it seemed like "balsa wood" and I was not sure I would set up (and keep) the second one. My Australian Cattle Dog and Siberian Husky took to it right away, however, I could see the roof and floor move when they walked on it (before I placed the order, I measured the dogs and ordered a medium size). After ONE DAY the trim around the opening fell off. Tiny screws (and, yes, STAPLES) were holding the two pieces on... I am SO disappointed as this doghouse seemed ideal for my dogs. I will be calling on Monday to return them both... AND bummed I have to start the doghouse search all over again... On another note, the small doghouse might work for very small, lightweight dogs, (under 10-15 pounds). This is NOT built for medium to large dogs.

    The product is very attractive looking but the directions were not really clear and the product lacked accurate pre-drilled holes. This was disappointing considering the price of the product. I would expect that from a cheaply price product and not a [$] dog house.

    The main reason I bought this dog house is for my doxy Anne, she climbs trees, we have to keep her in a pen or she would be gone after every squirrel in town. We actually lost her one time for 2 hours, had the police and everyone looking and my husband came home from work and looked in the tree and there she was the whole time. I didnt like the narrow stairs, I thought they would be wider, we set it up today and we will start using it tomarrow. looks good.

    I spent most of the afternoon putting this together. There are over 80 screws. Never received type "E" screws. It became apparent pretty quickly that this is pretty flimsy; the more I turned the screwdriver, the more the pieces came apart. Some pieces have pre-drilled holes and some don't. Needed to drill some holes on posts since they didn't send the right ones to connect the deck fencing. Clearly, this won't keep the rain out; after screwing on the roof it still comes off. I don't expect the dog house to last very long. Also, the steps are very narrow. My dog hasn't gone inside yet even when I put one of her favorite toys inside. She poked her head in a couple of times but that's it so far. For the price, I expected a more quality. I can't recommend this product.
