This house is cute and functional. An approved heated pet pad would lend more comfort in frigid climates. The elongated entrance on this model allows the entrance to be positioned opposite the prevailing wind. This design is the most "den-like but is awkward to ship. [...] The houses still stay solidly together and actually would be hard to take apart.Difficult to remove packing labels are stuck right on the houses. One arrived with a 3 inch permanent magic marker number number on it. I have not yet been able to remove the marker OR the labels, but the houses are great for wind and rain protection and could be made warm if need be. Though not perfect, I would buy again from this company and I would select the same design. The attached photo says it all.

Will have to work with her to get her to trust the strange shape. First use of igloo concept, will be nice if it works out...

My first time shopping with Hayneedle and it was exceptional. I ordered this on the 13th of December and received it on the 15th, already put together. Thank you!
I plan on buying three more for some needy dogs with no shelter! Anyway, I bought this for my cats. They were once feral. We remodeled an old storage shed, added a cat door and built an attached outdoor enclosure. I bought the igloo as a bedroom (with lots of nice warm blankets) for the cats, because it still does get somewhat cold in the shed and it gives them a sense of security. They've been sleeping in it every night.

This is my second one of the same model so now have a smaller one for our Basset Hound and this gigantic one for our English Mastiff. Really shopped dog houses and this one is by far the best.

Dog house will be outdoors on the fenced in patio and under cover. It will become permanent abode for our dog, except when the weather gets extreme.

Size of doghoue fits our big dog. Entrance is curved in such a way our dog can look out but not get wet if it rains. Interior will allow our dog to curl up.

We're curious if one vent is enough. We shall see.
