I wish I could have found this dog house locally but am thankful to be able to order it on line and that it was able to be shipped to Alaska. You would think heated, insulated dog houses would be the norm up here, guess not. Though the dog house with shipping was a little more expensive then alot of people may be willing to pay, for me, it is peace of mind that my dogs have a warm place to get into during the day when I'm at work or if I'm gone overnight.

This house arrived in two huge boxes. My brother was able to put it together, then take it apart because he put it together inside and couldn't get it out, and then put it back together again outside with minimal frustration. My dog - a 50 lb boxer, wouldn't go near it the first few days but then I took off one of the side doors, allowed her to go in, and put the door back on with her inside. I had to coax her in and out the door a few times to get her used to it, but now we have to call her twice to get her out. It may be too hot for our summers but for our winters it was a good buy, the heater seemed to keep my dog warm through our 20 degree nights, I don't like that the heater doesn't have any indication that it is actually on or what the temperature is, but it seems to work fine. I turn it off once the temperature goes above 40 so she won't get too hot. During the summers down here it gets above 100 during the day and this house may be too hot, but at least it will be a place she can go to get out of the rain. However, we keep the house on the concret porch and in heavy rain it can splatter back through the door and front window, but it only gets the front of her bed a little damp. I was concerned that this home would be big enough for my dog, she's over 50lbs, but she fits fine,has room to turn around and head room to spare. All & all, I am happy with the purchase.

Very nice product, easy to set up. Our dog got used to the house in 10 minutes. Our dog loved its new house.

Arrived very quickly after ordering. Teenage son put it together but still needs to add the screws. Good design; looks like it will stay dry & warm this winter. Light & bright with good headroom inside. Used pavers to build up a "porch" so daschunds could step in easier.
