I have two large indoor/outdoor cats. I couldn't find any suitable cat enclosure for them because of their size and because they would shred or collapse most soft cat structures. Anything I found that was sturdy enough was too expensive. This dog house was perfect for them. I put it outside on the deck and equiped it with a pet heating pad underneath a soft cushy pad. It's strong, easy to clean, it keeps them warm when they want to be outside during our cold Michigan winters, they can't destroy it, and they're comfortable wherever they want to be - in my house or outside on their kitty patrol.

My little 10 year old Maltese needed a place to get out of the rain when he wanted to be outside. Just being able to get up on the porch didn't necessarily keep him dry. I think this house will be a warm place for him too when it gets colder outside. I would have prefered the blue and white model shown in the picture but I guess I didn't notice a color choice when I ordered.
