Some reviews indicated some difficulty in building - I found it to go together very easily, taking about 20 minutes. Overall finish is good quality, workmanship and cuts all fit, not heavy duty but good value for cost.

I just received this dog house two days ago. The assembly was fairly easy, though it does take two people. The box described the assembly as 4 easy steps, which there were 4 steps, but each step had 2+ steps within it. The quality of the house in general is very nice, and I hope it lasts for many years due to how much it cost. I did take clear silicone caulking and caulked around every edge of the house where there is a crack...Roof, sides, door frame....etc. BC I live in VA and experience all four seasons, I want to make sure that the house stays dry inside and there is no water leaking inside and rotting the wood. Probably just my own OCD, but I rather spend $3 on a tube of caulking, then buying another dog house at this price. The heater is nice, but I definitely will be purchasing a door so the heat from the heater won't escape....which leads me to the heater...it's nice, and a plus when we have very cold winters, but I think it's ridiculous that they couldn't add 4 wood screws for installation. Over all I'm very pleased with the quality of the house. I hope I can say that 5 years down the road. :)
