WE PURCHASED THIS AFTER SEARCHING THE WEBSITES FOR SOMETHIING THAT WOULD BE WIDE ENOUGH TO CONTAIN OUR NEW 8 WEEK OLD LAB PUPPY FROM COMING IN THJE FRONT ROOM. WE DIDN'T ANCHOR IT TO THE WALL. WE DECIDED TO TRY TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS LEAVING IT FREE STANDING. HE DID FIND A WAY TO PUSH IT OPEN SO WE JUST SECURED ONE END & IT WORKS GREAT. IT HAS BEEN A REAL LIFE SAVER & OUR PUP HAS LEARNED HIS BOUNDRIES. ESPECIALLY LIKE THE GATE FOR EASY ACCESS. THE PRICE WAS GREAT, THE QUALITY IS GREAT. SHIPMENT WAS FAST. VERY HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING. WILL DEFINITELY BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

We got this gate to lock our current dog in the kitchen, away from things to destroy. So far, it's been great. We are definitely looking to get another one to expand across our entire living room, and to create a playpen when we have kids. The color is neutral and goes well with our color scheme. My husband still has some trouble with closing the gate one-handed, but I have the hang of it. Love this gate.

I bought this to separate my kitchen and living area so that my dog ( yourkie) could stay in the kitchen during the day and my 6 month old could be put on the floor a little easier and not worry that the dog accidently stepping on her. It works great and it's actually sturdy enough that we didn't connect it to the wall I just have it free standing until she is actually walking and able to pull it over. The door works perfect so I don't have to step over all the time either.

The gate is a good choice for nonstandard openings, pets, and children. I needed a gate to close off an open space between my family room and eat-in kitchen area in order to keep my three small dogs out of the family room when my infant grandson is visiting.

When I purchased the gate, I didn't realize that for the size of my opening, I would only use two of the three panels. However, the configuration of having one panel and the gate door on the right side works perfectly for my circumstances. Be aware that if the width of your opening is less than the width of the gate and you need to adjust the bars inward, the mesh will bunch up a bit and not be perfectly taunt. The mesh is of a high quality and has not torn when the dogs have jumped up on the gate and rested their small paws on the mesh.

Since my opening is a transition from hardwood to carpet, and I have a limited area to secure the two gate pieces to the wall, I am finding that there is just a slight wiggle to the gate because the foot stand is on an uneven surface. However, the gate has been in place for 3 weeks now, and is secure. The only caution I have is that for the first day or two my family members tripped over the bar below the open gate when entering the family room. We are now use to having the bar there, and this is no longer a problem.

I have researched many gates and own a variety of pet gates. This gate is well-made, reasonably priced, and affords flexibility for different sized areas. It is the only gate that I have that is ideal for both pets and children. I am considering purchasing another gate for my daughter's home.
