This crate is well made and sturdy. The assembly instructions are not terribly clear but we figured it out. The front door is heavy-guage and latches securely with a smooth-sliding spring mechanism (and can open left or right). The top door is held in place with hooks that are molded into the body of the crate. The top door takes some hand strength to open and close but it will keep the animal in.
Having looked at every small 2-door airline crate I can find, this one wins Best In Category.

Already had one Clipper Aran carrier. Purchased another brand and it didn't last a year. Needed a second carrier, purchased another Clipper Aran for our second carrier. Love it.
