Description

The durable Midwest 48-inch Life Stages Fold/Carry Double Door Dog Crate features a versatile design with a satin black electro-coat finish on a wire mesh construction. A fully functional second door on the right-side panel is great for use in a vehicle, or when you have more space side-to-side than front-to-back. Both doors are equipped with slide bold latches for maximum security. This dog crate boasts rounded corners on the door and panels for added safety for your pet. This portable crate folds and features plastic carrying handles for easy transportation and storage. A removable composite plastic pan makes cleaning a snap.


About Mid-West Metal Products
In 1921, Mid-West Metal Products made only one item, a Kruse Switch Box Support, and over the years began manufacturing millions of wire and sheet metal component parts. By 1960, they were producing training crates for pets. Today, Midwest Homes for Pets, a division of Mid-West Metal Products, produces and markets a variety of pet containment products.     We are using this product to crate train our Doberman puppy, Hudson. It is perfect because it grows with him and is durable and comfortable. He has really taken to it well. My only issue is that due to its size, it is difficult to transport in a mid sized car. Of course, the size issue is not the fault of the product but more of a consumer choice and usage. To me, it's easier to tranport our dog with a proper fitting harness in the car so I chose comfort and safety for our dog over portability.

    When it was set up, the doors didn't seem as sturdy as the rest of it. They didn't stay up. The clamps were loose. We had to do some adjusting with them.

    I have a young dog thats large and he gets bored when left alone and thats not always good for the house so my family decieded we would get a crate.I looked at a lot of crates and found the MIDWEST was good quality and the right price and it folds if needed.I am most happy that it is secure.The crate was easy to set up and came on time.
