    I got two German Shepherd puppies last October. I keep them in large cages at night while they are still...learning. The cages, of course come with lightweight, but effective plastic pans. Effective until a 7 month old German Shepherd decides it tastes good. Well, I wanted to get something they could not easily destroy, and this item sounded perfect, and is perfect. However, now, they have started chewing on the other plastic pan...so, I'm getting another one. I am buying this with confidence, since I already have one...and I wanted to post this so you can have confidence too. The dogs won't destroy this replacement liner, yet it's lightweight enough to easily remove for cleaning.

    The new replacement pan is much more durable and thicker but the new angled lip is not as comfortable for the dog as the original that was at a 90 degreee angle and very close ...Read complete review

    The new replacement pan is much more durable and thicker but the new angled lip is not as comfortable for the dog as the original that was at a 90 degreee angle and very close to the edge of the cage. You lose 2.5 inches of comfort space because of the angled design on a 42 x 28 x 31 cage.

            Well we bought this because our lab was chewing up and eating the plastic liner in her kennel and we needed something she could not eat so we were forced to buy metal. We could not find a metal replacement tray at any local stores and therefore were forced to order online which is difficult because you cannot see the product in person before you but it. For the costly price you expect the metal to be thick and the tray to be a good quality. It is thin, was dented in the corner and the edges were unfinished and sharp, Too expensive for what it is but not many choices out there for what we need it for.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                These pans dont crack and break apart we have been thur so many other pans that our boxers destroy. These pans also adjust to the room temperature inside and the body heat from our dogs we live in the northeast and want our dogs to stay warm. We will never throw away another dog pan again. Thanks so much for making owning our boxers a easier experience.

                  Delivery was quick, love the item so happy my 65 pd black lab who is going through separation anxiety issues can't chew it he destroyed the plastic tray that came with the kennel. One thing to be aware of is the edges of the tray are not rounded so very sharp. Hubby put some duct tape on the corners so our dog would not get cut. Overall, happy with this product!!!
