Gizmo went all over San Antonio in this bag. He is 4.5 lbs and an easy traveller but this bag was key. I love that it is approved for several airlines and the handling needed to be great. Shoulder strap is handy, but makes the bag sag. However, the carry handles did fit like a purse on my shoulder comfortably for a long time so it was not a huge problem. He had lots of air but it wasn't completely obvious I had a dog (sometimes you don't want the fuss a cute puppy can attract)
Unfortunately because the bag does get a little saggy lengthwise, it was servicable, but could have been more comfortable for him considering he spent even more time than usual since we were away from home. This also made me feel guilty when I strapped the crate in the car (we travel in the car daily and he needed to get used to it for a week)I think removable plastic support ribs on the roof and sides would make this the ultimate air travel carrier.

If you have smaller size of dog, don't go by the weight, make sure you measure, it would be good carrier.

I got this in the largest size for my puppy who is 12 lbs, but he is 12" high. So, he cannot stand upright in it.. but this was the biggest travel crate I could seem to find to accommodate him that was soft. I have not used this for travel yet, but I doubt it will actually fit under the seat in front of me for air travel. It will hopefully be good for longer car rides, although one of my biggest issues is that it provides a "d-ring" inside to attach your dog's lead to, but there is no lead/chain/string provided to attach it to your dog's collar which is what I had hoped for. Instead, I had to rig up something that I can attach to my dog's collar so that if I leave the top open he won't jump out and into my lap when I'm driving. I had tried another similar travel crate for my puppy and he absolutely fought me to not go in it, but my puppy went into this one with relative ease, so even though I haven't used it for long, I think he's happy with it.

Loved this carrier from the moment i saw it with it's comfortable design and spacious overhead room. I loved that my pet could see out of it making it less intimidating and more like a bed to my pet than something you'd put him in that meant a vet trip or uncomfortable experience. By opening the top and front to begin with, it enticed my cats natural curiosity to sleep in it as a bed. The insert makes it easy to clean and the design is lightweight and attractive. This dufful bag type design made it easy to carry. The only thing that would top this carrier off would be a hook built in to add a pully with wheels that the owner could peurchase as an accessory. I am very satisfied.
