The foam is substantial. It supports my 80 pound dog very well. Great for older dogs who require joint support. Plus he loves the bed. I am not terribly impressed with the cover however. The material is very inexpensive and flimsy. I unzipped it to check the foam and the zipper immediately broke! Before my dear dog even laid on it. I am keeping it however and will probably attempt to sew a new cover. So buyer beware . . .

Gabe suffers from arthritis. I ordered this bed to replace the old one, hoping is would help his limping. After sleeping on it one night, he no longer limped and our walk the next morning was so much more fun. I also received it much sooner than anticipated, so I'm a happy camper too.

Appears to be very solid and good for a dog with hip and/or joint problems. We just received this bed, so have not had a long time to see how it stands up to use.
