The patented Snoozer The Lookout I Pet Car Seat - Medium is suitable for a dog that weighs in at 18 to 25 pounds. Some dogs, depending on their build, may lie down in the medium-sized Lookout. This innovative seat features a seatbelt slot for security. The comfortable foam form has a lamb's-wool interior and a nylon quilt exterior that is snugly secured to the foam body with an elastic band. A connecting strap is included for the seatbelt to easily join the harness connection for added protection. Use this versatile car seat in the house as a bed or in the car as a booster. It is recommended that this pet car seat be used in the backseat. As an added bonus, the cover is removable and washable.  All Snoozer products are "Made In America".

    The dog wanted to ride in my lap, until I purchased the Lookout. Now he is happy to ride in it instead. And I like the feature that I can tether him to the seat belt in the event of a sudden stop.

      This is the best I have found. I looked at many and finally found this seat. We use this on very long trips for our 12 pound mini Schnauzer. Dog likes to watch what is going on and this seat allows him to do it. When the dog gets tired it is very roomy and he can lie down. A great item and well worth the money.

        I use it in the car, especially for long journeys when my 10 pound dog would need room to sleep. It is very soft and comfortable and my dog took to it immediately.
        I wonder how easy it will be to take the cover on/off for cleaning? Perhaps the furry part could be made removable (zip) from the vinyl base? Also I would prefer an independent safety attachment INSIDE the seat, rather than attached to the seat belt.
        However these are only minor suggestions and I think it is an excellent product that does what it says!
