We bought these after the puppies outgrew their small bumper beds. We have the beds in the puppies' crates and they are great. Provides great cushion on the bottom as well as a soft place for dogs that like having a "pillow" for their heads. Microsuede should hold up well and that's a plus too.

This bed replaces one that my dog "devil-dogged" to death. After our Lab/Greyhound mix deviled himself through our screen door (while it was closed), we outlawed the behavior and decided to replace his year-old bed. I loved the outer part of the old bed (suede-like), but the cushion wasn't holding up within its first week of use (before the running). We've had our lil adoptee for a year, so his birthday with us is a great time to bless him with this bed. He was a year old when we adopted him, and has he grown in a year! This extra-large bed has extra room for him to stretch out his 72 lbs a bit more than his large bed. He loves the comfort of the donut beds with bolsters and always migrates towards our softest of blankets. He has also rejected his old bed now, which is still out for his use, for this new soft one. Does he still prefer my Madden Plush blankets to this new bed? DUH! But at night, since he is such a bed hog, he knows it is time to cozy up in his new "den". He isn't complaining anymore about it either! :-DI had been worried that the zippers may scratch him, but no worries. They are well placed under the bottom of the bolster.I have two cons. One is that the inner pad should be thicker for this price. I have searched the internet for a cozy pad and they just don't exist. Still, at this price... It is a 3-inch thick tufted pad (3 inches where the tufts buldge out the pad), just like my last one, so I am not expecting this pad to stay comfy long. I have added two blankets to it, so that should help. Just cheap, soft plush ones found at a major box-store. ;-)The second con is the bottom, including its underside, is also velvet. I can see it wearing out quicker than my old one that has a thick canvess/plastic-type mesh. Again for the extra $100 increase (some accounting for the larger size, of course), one would think this bed would be sturdier. Would I buy it again? Yes, it is the best thing out there that I have seen for an extra-large bed (a size my last one did not come in).As to iBeds, they are fantastic. I had originally ordered a bed via phone and it turned out that they were out of it. When I was notified a few days later, the price had jumped quite a bit online! So I called and asked if they would honor the old price for a different color and they did! [...]

Any pet will love this great bed. Your pet will not be able to stretch out in it, but it's a great cuddle up in bed!!
