Our Coolaroo Deluxe Dog Bed just arrived today as simply a thought in my head. I have two Yellow Labs who are getting older and developing minor joint problems, but LOVE swimming in our pool all the time and of course chasing tennis balls in between swims. When resting, they both have a bad habit of stretching out right on the hard, HOT concrete. I had been wanting to try the Kuranda beds with them for several years now, thinking it would be good for their joints as well as just being more comfortable for them, but the price tag has just kept it a mere thought.

Another Lab owner friend of mine pointed me in the direction of the Coolaroo beds saying that her crew absolutely love them. Seeing the price and reviews (mostly her own personal review), I decided I had to order one to try out. One of my two has never been a fan of dog beds at all...give her a couch or human bed inside, sure, but other than that she'd rather just lay on the floor. I knew my other would like it. Much to my surprise, SHE was the one who spent the most time on it today and didn't even want to get off! They both absolutely love it and I could not be happier!

I must say that I love it as well...mostly for that reason, but also because it is SO easy to put together, incredibly easy to clean, and looks so simple and nice. The wheat color looked classy with our outdoor pool furniture, and you don't find that often in a rugged, outdoor dog bed! I could not speak highly enough of this bed...don't just think about it, GET ONE!

These beds were easy to assemble! My one terrible disappoint was that in less than 10 minutes one of the beds had been chewed on in one corner, and within the hour had torn significantly due to the weight of the dogs. So would I recommend one to someone else?? If you have a sedate, non-chewer, that is 80# or less... sure! If you have have heavy weights with chewing habits- save up and buy something else thats heavy-duty with chew guards!

      Only had this for about 6 hours but so far the dogs seem to love it. Will be perfect for outdoor relaxing when summer gets here.

      Service and delivery comments:

      I put it together myself, but if your not too handy or strong you might need a hand with the last cross-member since the bed portion is pretty taut.

        A: The beds typically do not tip when dogs get on them.  Please ensure the legs of the bed are planted firmly on the ground and the bed has full tension on it, as this is how the bed is meant to be assembled.
